We are look for the Training Developer to produce web, multimedia and print-based learning programs and supporting materials to general specifications. Working with Business Analysts, SME's, system experts, and vendor consultants about design and development of course content.
You need to demonstrate the necessary attention to detail, and ability to describe complex systems so stakeholders at all levels can understand. Work on the project will require you to work with organisation staff in all areas and you must produce clear and concise documentation for training program delivery. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to work in an environment with tight schedules and limited resources.
Role Requirements: Design and produce digital and print resources to general specifications, including:
- graphical, multimedia and interactive web elements;
- video, audio, and simulation elements; and
- text-based online and print resources.
Implement learning materials:
- on the world-wide web and on CDs/DVDs;
- within the MyLO (Desire2Learn) learning management system; and
- as paper-based materials.
Work with SME's to transform content for delivery in a variety of modes.
Provide advice in the selection and development of solutions to meet a range of teaching and learning needs.
Evaluate training programs and materials against business and project requirements.
Participate in staff development activities, including the delivery of seminars and workshops.
Completion of a degree in eLearning/ Adult Learning/ Workforce Development, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Experience in developing courses for workforce development/ software implementations using instructional design and development, and technical writing skills.
Capability to quickly learn business processes, and communicate effectively to a broad audience via a variety of modes
Competent, or capacity to rapidly develop skills, in use of web design and multimedia tools and environments, such as:
· Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate or similar
· Web 2.0 environments; and
· digital audio and video production.
· Learning Management Systems – Desire2Learn or similar.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including project management skills in a development team environment and working with SME's.
Demonstrated ability to self-manage time and resources efficiently across multiple projects and to deliver solutions on time and to specification.
An ability to work independently within established guidelines, including WCAG 2.0 "A" or greater, demonstrating attention to detail and an ability to use initiative and judgment.
Perform other duties as envisaged by the assigned classification under the relevant industrial award or agreement and in accordance with the skills, competence and training of the occupant.
