My client is looking for an additional Microsoft Desktop Support resource to work in Client Technology Services, within Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS), has the primary responsibility to provide desktop computing services and software services for my client. This team supports multiple departments in multiple locations.
Subject to broad direction and guidance, you will work within a tier 2 support area, responsible for the maintenance and development of the company's teaching software and images. This includes both Windows and OSX operating environments, consoles associated with managing a large complex computing fleet, and both physical and virtual computing environments.
As a Computing Support Officer you may be assigned to any section within Information and Communication Technology Services.
You will possess excellent customer service, problem solving, communication skills and be able to meet deadlines while working independently. Your good organisational, time management and team skills will be an asset in this environment.As an effective team member, provide computing and technology support, training andadvice to the companies community as required by the Division’s support standards,processes and relevant Service Level Agreements.Install, configure and troubleshoot computing and other technologies (including operatingsystems, applications, peripherals, mobile devices, audio-visual and videoconferencetechnologies) within the client’s and other relevant IT environments.Follow processes for managing compliance with software licensing and assetmanagement, including and particularly Change and Incident Management within the ITILFramework.Evaluate new technologies and keep abreast of developments in relevant informationtechnologies.Adhere to and provide input to required technical and procedural documentation toensure effective and efficient delivery of client services.Efficient and effective management of the day-to-day job queue for the assigned area ofcomputing and technology support team responsibility.Provide recognised technical expertise to clients and other team members in fault findingand resolution for computing and other supported technologies.As appropriate, recommend and assist with the development of business cases for theinvestigation and implementation of relevant new technologies related to the delivery ofeffective computing and technology support services.Recommend and assist with the design and development of enhancements to existingtechnical and procedural documentation.Sound like you?
